She's a lady

This is one of the frocks I bought from last weekend's vintage market.

Fabulous crimplene in a wild colourful print - it's got my name all over it!

No, I couldn't wear it like this. I'm a bit nesh, unlike our arm-baring winter goddess, Vix.

There's a cheeky side-split with buttons to flash a little leg.

                                                                          Yep, there it is again.

Now this dress has an interesting label which has really tickled me.

I have a 1960s California maxi dress already which I love - this one.

But the label on my latest frock says "Designed for California by Tom Jones of Mayfair."

Which made me ask the obvious question - has Tom Jones had a hand in my frock?

Yeah, this Tom Jones, the Pontypridd Sexbomb himself!

Don't be so shy, Tom, show the ladies what you have to offer.

Obviously Tom knew his way around a jumpsuit, and had an interest in ladieswear back in the day, given all those scanties which got thrown at him at his concerts!

I have tried researching the label on the internet but not found anything. So I am sticking with my strange fantasy that Tom did indeed contribute his unique style and love of the ladies to my new frock.

Watch the videos for the dancing - seriously, it's so worth it! You are very welcome. xxxxxx

OMG what does Tom look like in that photo? I love his dancing in the second vid, such sixties moves! Glad he has stopped dyeing his hair now, looks so much better. Fab frocks and I think the California colours look wonderful on you. Great rings too btw. x

How do you NOT like Tom Jones? I mean--come on. That album cover is CLASSIC. Ah, gone are the days of full chest-haired mahogany coloured MEN, with pants so tight you can see the pipe they're packing.

Oh wait...bored housefrau just got carried away.

Love the dress. I thought you looked GREAT with bare arms as well. You didn't???

Haha - got to love Tom Jones (although not in that first picture - greasy!) Love the print on the first frock and hoorah for the minxy side split :o) Scarlett x

I'm afraid Tom's never done it for me - before my time I guess! Annoyingly catchy tunes, perhaps that's part of the appeal?
Though if he did contribute to the design of your dress at least he had more an eye for design there! Lovely dress, so colourful, so you!

Great pattern on the new frock - and what a mystery eh ;)

Love how you can show off your ankle boots too, and ooh la la the side split. I've accidentally picked windy days to wear split-side skirts, and had to contort myself in embarassment. And 2 cardigans at once - clever! My cardigan rail is now groaning under the weight, but you can never have enough... x

Tom Jones is a LEGEND if you ask me and such a fabulous little mover. Saw him in the 90s and the ladies were still throwing their knickers at him. I refrained.

Gorgeous frocks as ever. Xxxxxx

I love both of them. You need a siren body, like yours for the first one, but the yellow one is more up my alley.

I love the dress with the wild coloured print, its gorgeous. Tom Jones has never been on my radar, I more of an Elvis or Johnny Cash fan.

Tom seems to be the colour of my Sunday roast. Sexy. I love both those dresses! Especially with the fur coat! Much needed right now xxx

I feel sad for saying this... but Tom looks super creepy in that top picture. *lol*
But I guess he makes up for it with his dance moves.

I am going to call your new dress... your cloud dress.
It looks really nice on you. It just screams happiness and fun!
Now heres the question?? When you wear it can you dance like Tom?
=p

Awwwwww Tom Jones good God! What is he up to these days?
Have you seen that movie about 2 good friends and one is dying of breast cancer and at the end the surviving friend goes to a Tom Jones concert?
Tom Jones has a cameo in that movie he shows at her house, i think the actress was Angelica Houston

Love ,love the first dress, so cool!

CHECK YOU OUT! My my, don't you look sexy in that first slinky maxi with the cheeky side split??? I adore the print of that frock and the necklace blows my mind.
The yellow one is a stunner, my 50p gingham beauty (the one on my profile) is a California, too, sadly not designed by Tom.
Tom Jones is my guilty pleasure, I've been to see him live a few times, shame he's not as hot now as he was in the Sixties, that Welsh accent makes my knees tremble. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Wow, nice vintage clothing, I wish we had a vintage market here in Rome. There is Porta Portese but it's not vintage, although it does have good second-hand clothes at great prices. I also don't buy things for myself so much because I can fit into my daughter's clothes, this way we save. You look great! I love Tom Jones!!! I am following you. It's snowing again here, Rome is lovely in white.

Woohooo, look at you. I'm not sure I know what nesh is - but if it's a bad thing, you certainly aren't. I HATE my upper arms, they're my Achilles heel. Ok that makes very little sense, but you know what I mean. Ditch the mesh - Curtise is not nesh!

Love the sexy split XX

You look stunning in the print dress. Thanks for the Tom Jones pic and videos. I do like a manly hairy chest. And I love his dancing. So nice to see a performer just having a blast and not doing some choreographed moves.

You look very slinky and stylish in that first maxi--it's a great print and fits you perfectly, and you've accessorized it just right. I always thought Tom Jones was a bit creepy, but oddly enough, I seem to know enough lyrics to his songs to be able to sing along with "What's New, Pussycat".

Jesus wept, TOM'S TAN!!!!

The frock is simply spectACular! The colours are just gorgeous and you look frickin AMAZING in it! The second maxi is my ALL TIME FAVOURITE EVER and do NOT get me started on Tom's (velvet?) jumpsuit!

Just stop it, woman, stop it!

LOVE! Sarah xxx
